Following the unique SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch doubleheader on Saturday, the company plans to launch its next Starlink satellite from the Space Coast on Friday morning during a predawn opportunity.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Federal Aviation Administration have issued advisories indicating that a 4½-hour window for the Starlink 6-47 mission launch will open from 2:14 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. EDT, even though SpaceX has not yet made this mission public.

With this mission scheduled, the Space Coast will have launched 23 orbitals so far this year, continuing its rapid ascent that will break the record of 72 launches set in 2023.

The 45th Weather Squadron of the Space Force predicts 90% “go for launch” weather, with a small chance of a scrub caused by strong liftoff winds or dense cloud cover.

The Eutelsat 36D telecommunications satellite and the Starlink 6-45 mission were launched into low-Earth orbit on Saturday by SpaceX astronauts in a three-hour and forty-eight-minute burst from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and the nearby Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

A National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency report indicates that a rocket launch window will open on Sunday from 7:12 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. on the Space Coast launch schedule.

Although SpaceX has not yet made a formal statement, this is probably part of the company’s Bandwagon-1 ridesharing initiative, which it uses to service a variety of small satellite operators. One company, Capella Space Corp., which is launching the Acadia-4 satellite, declared that Bandwagon-1 will take off on Sunday from KSC’s pad 39A.

The final Delta IV Heavy rocket on the NROL-70 national security mission will then be launched on Tuesday, marking United Launch Alliance’s second trying. Goal time is 12:53 p.m.
