Dyson has introduced its first dedicated cord-free wet floor cleaner, the Dyson WashG1, designed for both wet and dry debris cleanup in one swift motion. Priced at ₹64,900, the WashG1 promises efficient and hygienic cleaning, featuring a one-litre tank that combines hydration, absorption, and extraction methods to tackle a variety of debris. The device automatically separates collected materials, simplifying maintenance, and can cover up to 3,100 square feet on a single charge. It is available for purchase through Dyson’s official website and Dyson Demo stores across India.

Charlie Park, Dyson’s vice president of home engineering, highlighted that while vacuuming is a regular task for most people, many don’t fully understand the importance of wet cleaning beyond a general sense of hygiene. According to Park, using water to clean is crucial for rehydrating surfaces and removing tough stains. However, many existing wet cleaning tools don’t meet users’ expectations when it comes to stain removal and overall cleaning performance. Dyson’s engineers focus on tackling these overlooked problems, and the Dyson WashG1 is a direct result of their efforts. It’s Dyson’s first wet floor cleaner designed specifically for hard surfaces, delivering both effective and hygienic results.

The WashG1 features advanced technology with two counter-rotating absorbent rollers made from microfibre, each packed with 64,800 filaments per square centimetre. These rollers efficiently absorb spills while capturing dry debris and hair, ensuring thorough cleaning with longer contact time on surfaces. The device uses Dyson’s separation technology to keep debris from mixing with dirty water, thanks to durable extraction plates and nylon-bristle brush bars that direct dirt into a removable debris tray. The collected dirty water is stored in a 0.8-litre tank, which also prevents larger debris from clogging the system. Its design minimises dirt buildup, and the self-cleaning mode re-saturates the rollers for easier upkeep.

In addition, the Dyson WashG1 offers customisable hydration settings through three cleaning modes-low, medium, and high-allowing users to adjust based on floor type and the kind of debris being cleaned.
