Cricketer KL Rahul and his wife, Athiya Shetty, the daughter of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, have made a significant real estate investment by purchasing an apartment in the prestigious Pali Hill area of Bandra, Mumbai. According to property registration documents accessed by IndexTap.com, the couple acquired this property for a substantial ₹20 crore.

The apartment spans an impressive 3,350 square feet and is situated on the second floor of the Sandhu Palace building, a ground-plus-18-floors structure in Pali Hill. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a partial occupation certificate for the building, as indicated in the documents.

For this transaction, Rahul and Shetty paid a hefty stamp duty of ₹1.20 crore along with a registration fee of ₹30,000. Additionally, the apartment includes four car parking spaces, enhancing its appeal. The official registration of this transaction took place on July 15, as per the documents.

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a prize distribution of ₹125 crore among the Indian cricket team’s title-winning squad and the coaching staff for their World Cup victory. This prize money distribution highlights the success and financial rewards for the team, adding to Rahul’s recent property acquisition.

Attempts to get comments from Sandhu Builders and KL Rahul regarding the purchase were unsuccessful. Pali Hill, known for its star-studded residents, remains a highly sought-after location in Mumbai. The area has seen a surge in luxury housing projects, with local brokers noting that per square foot rates can exceed ₹1 lakh.

Pali Hill frequently makes headlines, such as in August 2023 when Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar’s bungalow, a notable landmark on a 2,000 square meter plot, entered redevelopment. Similarly, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s building in the area is also slated for redevelopment.

Pali Hill continues to be home to several Bollywood celebrities and high-net-worth individuals. Among them are stars like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Tripti Dimri, who own properties in Bandra, further cementing the area’s reputation as a premium residential enclave.
