Vijay Deverakonda recently spoke frankly with the media about the self-punishment he inflicted upon himself following the failure of “Liger.” The actor addressed the media in Hyderabad on his next movie, “The Family Star.”
The next big thing, “The Family Star,” starring Vijay Deverakonda, talked about the self-punishment he suffered when “Liger” failed at the box office. He declared, both before and after “Liger’s” collapse, that he is the same during a news conference in Hyderabad on April 1. Even before the movie opened in theaters, he made the decision to stop talking about its success due to its box office failure. Puri Jagannadh’s sports drama “Liger” turned out to be a damp squib.
To promote “The Family Star,” Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, and producer Dil Raju attended a press conference on April 1. Vijay was questioned about his transformation following the box office performance of the movie “Liger” and the film’s failure during the event. In response, he stated that while he hadn’t changed much, he had picked up some new skills.
“My attitude hasn’t changed,” he stated. Both before and after the release, I have not changed. The only distinction is that, for the next three or so images, I have made the conscious decision not to discuss the box office performance of my films. That’s what I punished myself with.”
With “Liger,” Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Puri Jagannadh collaborated for the first time. Both critics and viewers gave the movie, which was promoted as Vijay’s first pan-Indian movie and Bollywood debut, poor reviews.
Pre-release, Deverakonda expressed his confidence in the movie’s box office performance by saying, “I will start counting box office numbers after Rs 200 crore.” His remarks went viral, and the movie became a source of memes.
Vijay is excitedly awaiting the release of “The Family Star” now that he has moved past the failure of “Liger.” After a great debut with “Geetha Govindam,” he returns to work with director Parasuram Petla on this family drama. The movie, which also stars Mrunal Thakur, will be available in theaters in a number of languages on April 5.
