ONE Friday Fights 118: Largest martial arts organization in the world will make a triumphant return to Bangkok On August 1, Thailand’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium for another exciting week of events.
The renowned location will host ONE Friday Fights 118 live during primetime in Asia. There, two dozen athletes from kickboxing, MMA, and Muay Thai will compete for a US$100,000 contract that might change their lives and earn them a place on the main roster of ONE Championship.
The main event will feature a thrilling 142-pound Muay Thai trilogy between Turkish powerhouse Soner “Golden Boy” Sen and Thai striking wonder Worapon Lukjaoporongtom. Sen won their first fight, and Worapon earned redemption in their second, tying the series at one.
With aspirations to follow former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon and ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai into the international spotlight, the 22-year-old Worapon is motivated by dreams of winning the ONE World Championship.
Rising talents from all around the world will also display their abilities. For example, Japan’s Kojiro Shiba will compete against Mon Yoddhaxay of Laos in a 119-pound kickboxing match, demonstrating the diversity of ability vying for a chance to compete on the world stage.
