In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan, Sophie Turner accuses her estranged husband Joe Jonas of refusing to let their children to return to their “forever home” in England.

In accordance with the complaint, “The Father has prevented the children from returning to England, which is a breach of the Mother’s rights of custody under English law, England being the children’s habitual residence.”

According to the lawsuit, Sophie claims that Joe agreed to give their daughters—Willa, 3, and the unnamed 1-year-old—to her once she visited Manhattan to pick them up after completing up the filming of her program Joan in the UK.

According to the lawsuit, however, Sophie stated that Joe forbade the children from leaving when Sophie arrived in the city to pick them up on September 17. Additionally, he is carrying the children’s passports.

Story of Sophie and Joe’s divorce

Following a four-year marriage, Sophie and Joe filed for divorce on September 5. While the former couple has kept their separation reasons a secret from one another, there are a few speculations that are circulating online.

One of them claims that following Sophie’s second pregnancy, Joe did not assist her. She preferred to stay at home with her children, but Joe insisted she go out with him to social events.

Sophie was busy filming for the British series Joan while Joe was busy performing with his brothers Nick and Kevin for the Jonas Brothers’ concert tour across the US. Sophie, on the other hand, was spotted smoking a cigarette and kissing co-star Franke Dillane while filming Joan in the UK. She was spotted hanging out with singer-songwriter and Joe’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift after arriving in the US.
