With high expectations, the engrossing survival thriller Manjummel Boys—a Malayalam industry hit—arrived in theaters in Telugu regions yesterday.
Both reviewers and viewers praised the film greatly, indicating that it lived up to the hype. Telugu consumers have struck gold as the film’s ticket sales have increased from show to show.
Manjummel Boys performed better for the first and second presentations than for the morning and afternoon performances.
In terms of Malayalam version ticket sales, this Chidambaram-directed film has surpassed Premalu’s record.
For Premalu, about 10,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow. Manjummel Boys sold out 34.47K seats on the first day of sales, which is treble the amount of tickets sold for Premalu.
Due to the holiday and the great word-of-mouth, the movie is booking extremely well on day two.
Trade believes a film that combines thrilling action sequences with heartfelt storytelling will do well at the box office for a long time.
