After carrying back the heat with Spicy Chicken McNuggets, McDonald’s is going to cold and sweet.
The fast-food giant declared Tuesday that the well known Shamrock Shake will get back to taking an interest cafés nationwide Feb. 15 “to mark the first green of spring.” It will be joined by the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, which previously appeared last February to pay tribute to the shake’s 50th anniversary.
The seasonal treats will be accessible limited time more than a month prior St. Patrick’s Day.
“For more than 50 years, fans have eagerly awaited the annual return of the Shamrock Shake, counting on the arrival of Shamrock Shake Season to mark the unofficial start to spring,” McDonald’s Senior Director of Culinary Chad Schafer said in a news release.

The Shamrock Shake – made in 1967 by Hal Rosen, a Connecticut McDonald’s proprietor and operator, who made the shake for St. Patrick’s Day – appeared in select areas the country over in 1970. It went nationwide for the first time in 2012, as per fun realities about the shake.
The light green beverage is made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream, artificially enhanced Shamrock Shake syrup and whipped beating.
McDonald’s portrays the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry as a “twist” on the Shamrock Shake with Oreo treat pieces mixed all through.
Spicy Chicken McNuggets and the Mighty Hot Sauce brought Feb back. 1 and will be accessible temporarily. The hot nuggets and sauce both appeared for their first spat mid-September and it was the first flavor McDonald’s USA acquainted with the McNugget since the item appeared in 1983.
