He noted that his wife, actress Alia Bhatt, has also done the same.

Ranbir remarked, “In marriage, you often have to set aside aspects of your own personality.” She’s also letting go of her personality. We’re adjusting to each other trying to make it livable for each other,” suggested that mutual adjustments and sacrifices are necessary in marriage, as it’s unrealistic for two people to completely accept each other as they are without compromise.

However, these statements didn’t sit well with some people on social media. Many expressed their concerns, emphasizing that losing one’s personality in a relationship is not healthy. One user commented on X (formerly Twitter), “This sounds so wrong. Letting go of one’s personality is not at all possible. You cannot be with someone who doesn’t allow you to be yourself. Adjustment and acceptance go hand in hand.” Another pointed out the troubling nature of such a statement, saying, “Everything I’ve learned about this couple has been against my will. The father of your child wants you to shed your personality…GIRL, GET OUT OF THERE.”

One user remarked that Alia seemed more vibrant and carefree before, suggesting that she had to suppress her playful side to fit into a more mature image, presumably influenced by her relationship.
