Thangalaan trailer

There is a lot to unpack from the two minutes and nine second trailer.

The beginning shows Vikram’s terrible mental state as Parvathy Thiruvothu’s character questions him about what’s going through his head. Soon after, Lord Clement, a Britishman, shows up in their community with the intention of using the locals’ assistance to search for gold.

A man makes the prediction that seeking gold is tantamount to seeking death. Malavika Mohanan portrays Aarathi, a purported sorceress who guards the land from being taken advantage of. As the trailer comes to a finish, Vikram is joined by his people and covered in gold dust.

The story of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF)

The Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) in Karnataka have a “real story,” which the film’s crew claims Thangalaan will delve into. They described how the KGF led to Indians being referred to as “sone ki chidiya,” or “gold bird.”

One of the largest gold mines in the world was exploited by the British, who brought almost 900 tonnes of gold to England. Since most people are ignorant of this, the creators claim that Thangalaan will delve into the “true story” of these gold mines.

Based on true events, Thangalaan will examine how the KGF people rescued the mines from the British. The movie, which takes place in the 19th century just before independence, also looks at how the locals devised strategies to stop being exploited by the colonists.
