The newest hypercar from Bugatti, the Tourbillon, has been unveiled. It replaces the incredibly capable Chiron in the lineup. Despite its uncanny resemblance to the Chiron, the new Bugatti Tourbillon is completely new from the ground up. Its main feature is the V16 hybrid motor, which replaces the legendary W16 unit but has more power and a faster peak speed.

Specifications of the 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon Engine

The enormous 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine in the 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon is powered by electric motors. At 9,500 rpm, the hybrid engine can produce a total of 1,775 horsepower. Without any electrical support, it produces around 1,000 horsepower. The two electric motors that provide the remaining 775 horsepower are located on the front e-axle. Moreover, the powertrain’s max torque is 900 Nm. To put things in perspective, the 8.0-liter, four-turbocharged engine of the Bugatti Veyron produced roughly 987 horsepower.

2026 Performance of the Bugatti Tourbillon

A third e-motor is mounted in the back to assist in propelling the back wheels, while two electric motors power the primary engine. A 25 kWh centrally placed battery pack, roughly the same size as the one on the Tata Tiago EV, provides the energy for the vehicle. Performance-wise, the Tourbillon can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just two seconds, but it takes three more seconds to reach 200 kmph.

The maximum speed of the hypercar is limited to 380 kmph, which is reached in less than 25 seconds, and its full potential is only realized when the speeds climb, reaching 300 kmph in just 10 seconds. The enormous back wing of the Bugatti is unlocked with a unique key, providing additional downforce and enabling it to reach its maximum speed of 445 kmph. Utilizing custom Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the Tourbillon is driven.

The new Bugatti Tourbillon, a hybrid vehicle with a limited electric-only range of 60 kilometers, can also be quiet and understated. The 800-volt architecture of the premium Bugatti plug-in hybrid should enable quick charging; however, the manufacturer has not disclosed charging times.

Design of the 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon

Visually, the Tourbillon might appear to be similar to the Chiron. On the other hand, a brand-new, cutting-edge T800 carbon composite monocoque structure supports it. The battery is now a seamless component of the chassis. The horseshoe-shaped grille, which supplies air to the radiators, embodies the classic Bugatti design language, while the rear wing’s ability to deploy upwards serves as an airbrake. A fully redesigned multi-link suspension, which weighs forty-five percent less than the Chiron’s, is fitted to the Tourbillon.

The Bugatti Tourbillon isn’t transitioning to an all-digital, screen-induced interior as many of its competitors are. On the other hand, the hypercar’s interior features a well-balanced selection of premium analog dials and clocks. The steering wheel display has three enormous dials attached to it that display all of the information along with warning lights. The instruments are firmly mounted to the steering column and were masterfully constructed by Switch watchmakers. The rest of the cabin is finished with beautiful materials, such as a single crystal lever, rotary dials, and aluminum switches. Access to services like Apple CarPlay and more is possible through a concealed screen that emerges from the center console.

Price of the 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon

Although the Tourbillon has been made public, Bugatti won’t start shipping them until 2026. Since there is a 250-car maximum production run, each of these vehicles is extremely unique. The estimated cost is $3.9 million, or roughly 32.59 crore before taxes.
