Vivo Y400 Pro 5G Debuts in India with 90W Fast Charging and AI Productivity Features

Vivo has expanded its mid-range smartphone portfolio in India with the official launch of the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G. Positioned to offer a blend of premium features and modern AI tools, the device highlights rapid charging, a high-resolution Sony sensor, and productivity enhancements powered by artificial intelligence.

There are two storage options for the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G: the 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage model costs ₹24,999, while the larger storage model has 256GB. is set at ₹26,999. The smartphone is currently open for pre-orders through Vivo’s India website and will be available for purchase starting 27 June on Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo’s official site, and select offline stores. It is offered in three eye-catching colours — Freestyle White, Fest Gold, and Nebula Purple.

Driving the device is a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. It includes UFS 3.1 storage options and runs FuntouchOS 15, which is based on Android 15. With its 6.77-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and 3D curved design, the smartphone boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz, and maximum visibility even in direct sunlight. At just 7.49mm thick, especially in its Nebula Purple variant, Vivo claims it’s the slimmest curved display phone in its segment.

For photography, the Y400 Pro 5G is equipped with a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2MP depth lens. A 32MP front camera handles selfies, and both the front and rear cameras are capable of 4K video recording. Enhancing imaging further are AI features such as AI Photo Enhance and AI Erase 2.0.

On the productivity side, the device introduces AI-powered tools like AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, AI Screen Translation, and AI Superlink. Additionally, it includes Google’s Circle to Search feature for instant, gesture-based information lookup. Powering the phone is a 5,500mAh battery paired with 90W fast charging. Other features include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, USB Type-C, and an IP65 rating for dust and water protection.
