The City Sport is a dynamic new version of Honda Cars India’s popular mid-size car. Priced at ₹14.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), this limited-edition model injects a youthful and sporty character into the City range, aiming to attract buyers who prioritise personal style, distinctive design, and a lively driving experience.

The recently unveiled City Sport is based on the City’s gasoline CVT variant and comes with luxury interior upgrades and unique external modifications. These upgrades give the sedan a bolder road presence while appealing to younger, style-conscious motorists seeking a blend of elegance and spirited performance.

Visually, the City Sport stands out with its distinctive cosmetic additions. It features a glossy black sporty front grille, a sleek black trunk lip spoiler, and a matching shark fin antenna. Black-finished ORVMs and sporty grey multi-spoke alloy wheels further elevate its striking appearance, while a unique ‘Sport’ emblem marks this edition apart from the regular lineup.

The cabin sees its own share of enhancements, offering an all-black leatherette interior with contrast red stitching, complemented by red accents on the dashboard and door panels. Glossy black finishes on the AC vents, a black roof liner, and dark pillar trims complete the sporty theme. Adding to the ambience is a seven-colour rhythmic ambient lighting setup, enhancing the overall in-cabin experience.

According to Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., the City Sport has been created to satisfy the aspirations of young, performance-enthusiast buyers looking for individuality paired with Honda’s hallmark everyday practicality. He highlighted its combination of fun-to-drive character, refined comfort, and value-driven pricing.

Mechanically, the City Sport remains unchanged, retaining its reliable 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, which is E20 fuel compatible and paired with a CVT gearbox. It generates 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque, delivering a certified mileage of 18.4 km/l. The car continues to offer paddle shifters for added driving engagement.

Safety and convenience remain a priority with the inclusion of Honda Sensing — the brand’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite. To improve road safety, it has features including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, and collision mitigation braking.

The City Sport can be finished in Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, or Radiant Red Metallic; the pearl finish is an additional expense. With its refreshed styling, enhanced features, and limited availability, the City Sport aims to add a bold edge to the iconic City nameplate while staying true to its legacy of reliability and refinement.
