4 models that will be released in the upcoming year

1. New Kia Carnival

The new Carnival from Kia will be delivered completely knocked down, or CKD, meaning that pieces from outside will be assembled in India. The majority of the features, exterior, interiors, and powertrain options will be the same as the international spec version because this will be a CKD model.

Its revised front grille, L-shaped DRLs, vertically stacked LED headlights, front and back bumpers, and newly designed 19-inch alloy wheels are all part of its outward appearance. The back gets integrated LED taillights and an all-new look, following the current trend. With a total makeover, the interiors will include two 12.3-inch panels, wireless smartphone connectivity, a wireless charger, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.

The 2.2-liter diesel engine from the previous generation will still power the Carnival in India, despite the international version having several engine options. It is anticipated that the price will increase dramatically with all of these improvements, with the base variant perhaps starting at Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).

    2. The Kia EV9

The flagship model in its lineup, the Kia EV9, will go on sale on October 3. This will be the Korean manufacturer’s second electric vehicle. Even when it is stationary, the Kia EV9 conveys a sense of business. The GT-line AWD version has all the bells and whistles imaginable, along with unique, sharper bumpers, 21-inch GT-line wheels, and GT-line badging throughout.

It has a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, auto parking, connected car technology, power boot opening, all-LED lighting, multi-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and all-electric seats. It also has a second-row lounge function.

With two motors and a 100kWh battery pack, the GT-line AWD variant can generate a total of 379 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. With an astounding performance, the range is expected to be 445 km, and it can reach 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, with a top speed restriction of 200 km/h.

You should expect a high cost when all of this is included in a single package. It is anticipated that the Kia EV9 GT-line AWD model will cost between Rs. 1 crore and Rs. 1.2 crore.

      3. Kia Carens facelift

The connected LED taillight treatment will be applied to the back, and the unique alloys may indicate that a new design will be implemented.

The infotainment screen and driver display will both have extra screens added to the existing structure, which will allow for wireless smartphone connectivity.

The new model will retain its 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, and 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, a torque converter unit, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. This is because there won’t be any mechanical changes made to the engine under the hood. Its release is anticipated to occur early in the upcoming year, with costs marginally higher than those of the existing models.

        4. The Kia Syros

India has granted trademark status to the Kia Syros, which is anticipated to be the more expensive Sonet variant given that it would also be a sub-4 m small SUV.

A panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, electric and vented front seats, a Bose audio system, drive modes, leatherette upholstery, and an ADAS suite are among the features that will be added.

It will share many mechanical components with the Sonet and be powered by the same 1.5-liter diesel, 1.0-liter turbocharged, and 1.2-liter NA gasoline engines. Six-speed manual, six-speed iMT, torque converter, and seven-speed DCT are the available transmission options.
