Along with revealing their prices, Bajaj Auto unveiled the Vitpilen 250 and the Svartpilen 401, the new models for India. In comparison to their predecessors, both motorcycles have undergone significant modifications. The Svartpilen 401, which is priced at Rs. 2.92 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and is 18,000 less expensive than the 390 Duke, has recently entered the domestic market. In addition to new styling, they also sport new electronic ride-aids.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 of 2024 is a modern scrambler that shares some features with the most recent KTM 390 Duke. The 399 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-valve DOHC engine provides the engine’s power. It produces a maximum power output of 45 horsepower and is mounted as a stressed element within the chassis.
A six-speed transmission with a slipper and assist clutch is standard equipment when combined with the engine. The new motorcycle is supported by a steel trellis frame and has a new aluminum swingarm. The list of comprises includes a quickshifter, 17-inch spoked wheels on the front and back, and a five-inch bonded glass TFT instrument cluster.
Additional features of the new Svartpilen 401 include improved looks, a new paint work with updated decals, adjustable WP suspension (front and rear USDs and monoshocks), ByBre-sourced braking hardware, and a Bosch dual channel ABS system. With significant updates, the 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is an urban roadster priced at Rs. 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Vitpilen 250 has ByBre brakes, a dual-channel ABS system, and a suspension system sourced from WP, just as the new Svartpilen 401. It has 17-inch cast wheels, a new 5-inch LCD display, and a more upright riding position. It is equipped with a lightweight aluminum swingarm and is supported by a redesigned trellis structure.
A longer wheelbase, a redesigned chassis, and an adjusted seat height to enhance cornering performance without losing the vehicle’s renowned steadiness are additional highlights. Additionally, the Vitpilen 250 receives revised handlebars that should provide smoother steering. Weight distribution is improved by the new engine, which also features a redesigned six-speed gearbox. Both bikes now have longer pillion seats, larger fuel tanks, and more ground clearance.
By the end of this month, customers can purchase the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 250 from more than 400 KTM-Husqvarna authorised dealers in India. With a 7,500 km service interval, the larger Svartpilen and quarter-liter Vitpilen are covered by a 2+3 year warranty.
