The production version of the Tata Curvv ICE has finally been launched in India after being unveiled last month, much to the excitement of many and several conceptual exhibitions. The dramatic cladding, large dimensions, and raised ride height of the SUV coupé make it a standout design. Setting itself apart from the newly released Curvv EV, it has 190 mm of ground clearance.
A steeply sloping roofline improves the aerodynamic efficiency of the IC-powered Tata Curvv. Its steady stance is aided by big wheels, more ground clearance, and greater approach and departure angles. A panoramic glass roof that adds to the cabin’s upscale appearance is one of the quality materials used throughout.
For greater use, the five-seater boot has been modified. Two gasoline engines, one 1.2L Revotron and the other 1.2L DI turbo, each generating 125 PS and 225 Nm, power the SUV. A 1.5L four-cylinder Kryojet turbo diesel engine is also available in the lineup. With a fuel efficiency of 22.4 km/l, this diesel model offers an option between a segment-first seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a six-speed manual transmission.
Along with other features like flush-type door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, paddle shifters in the DCA variant, a 9-speaker 320 W JBL audio system, auto AC with capacitive controls, a flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated logo, and more, the Curvv ICE has an AI-based smart shift assistant in the manual transmission.
There are eight available variations in total. They are Accomplished S, Accomplished+ A, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Pure+, and Smart. The Tata Curvv EV is distinguished from its ICE sibling by having darker accents, particularly at the front, and alloy wheels. The EV model has a closed-off front grille, a front-mounted charging port concealed behind the Tata badge, and unique textures on the air intake opening and vertical air curtains.
The Tata Curvv has a sleek, flowing bonnet, a front windshield that slopes sharply, and horizontal light bars. A 10.25-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 10.25-inch digital instrument dashboard, six airbags, heated front seats, Level 2 ADAS, and other connected technologies are just a few of the amenities that are included in its extensive equipment list.
The Tata Curvv’s Pure model adds Flame and Opera Blue to the available color options, while the entry-level Smart variant is only offered in Daytona Grey and Pristine White. These colors are available in the Creative version together with Pure Grey. Along with all the colors previously stated, the top-spec Accomplished variation also introduces the special Gold Essence.
