Due to a steering wheel problem that might result in drivers losing control of their cars, Chrysler is recalling more than 330,00 Jeep Grand Cherokees.
338,238 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022–2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles made by Chrysler are included in the recall.
The carmaker claims in documents made public by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Tuesday that there is a possibility of the upper control arm ball joint and steering knuckle separating, which could lead to the wheel falling outward and the vehicle losing control, thereby increasing the risk of a collision.
Owners of affected vehicles can visit dealers to get the upper control arm pinch bolts replaced at no cost to them.
