The 2024 Swift’s market debut in India is being planned by Maruti Suzuki. We will be testing the revised hatchback shortly after its formal introduction, which is anticipated to take place on May 9. The 2024 Swift is currently making its way into dealerships. For a nominal fee of ₹11,000, the firm is currently taking pre-orders. Clients have two options for making reservations: online or at Arena dealerships.
When the 2024 Swift goes on sale formally, further color options will be available in addition to the white hatchback that was on display at the dealership. The addition of fog lamps to the India-spec variant is one of the two main modifications that we see. They are light-emitting diodes. Then there are the recently released alloy wheels, which are made to fit the conditions of Indian roads. Other than this, the Swift and the global-spec model are essentially the same.
A 2024 Swift-related document was recently released, and it contained numerous details regarding the upcoming hatchback. According to the leaked paper, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce the new 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine in the 2024 Swift. It will be a mildly hybrid vehicle that may be paired with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The engine can produce a maximum power output of 80 horsepower and a peak torque of 112 Nm. One of the best mileage estimates in the class at 25.72 km/l is what the engine promises to deliver. The new Swift has less power output than the previous model, but it will still get better mileage.
To improve its safety rating, the new Swift will have six airbags as standard equipment. The Swift achieved a four-star safety rating in the recently concluded crash tests by Japan NCAP. In addition to six airbags, more advanced models of the Swift should come with a 360-degree camera and a head-up display.
