Taylor Swift and Rihanna occupy the top 40 spots on Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Women list for 2023.
On the list, which also features appearances from Madonna, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Dolly Parton, and Barbra Streisand, the artists are the two musicians with the highest ranking.
This year’s richest musician is Rihanna, who is ranked 20 and has an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion. Her wealth is bolstered by her Fenty business empire, which includes her Fenty Beauty cosmetics range, Savage X Fenty lingerie line, and more, in addition to her enormously successful music career, which saw her headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year and score 11 No. 1 singles since 2005.
The song “Lift Me Up,” which was written for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, marked the superstar’s return to music last year. The OST also featured Rihanna performing a second song, “Born Again.”
Swift comes in at number 34, and her estimated net worth is $740 million. The star is currently in the middle of her The Eras world tour, which began in Arizona in April. She added more dates last week in South America, and she has promised to do more international shows soon.
Preceding those gigs being added, Swift shared a deluxe edition of her latest album, Midnights, with another rendition of “Karma” including rapper Ice Spice and an updated version of “Snow On The Beach” with additional contributions from Lana Del Rey.
Madonna set at No.45 with an estimated net worth of $580 million. The pop icon will celebrate on The Celebration Tour in July to commemorate her illustrious career. She will perform some of her greatest hits during the tour, which will also reflect on her 40 years at the top of the pop world.
