Loveyapa is now officially streaming in India, featuring performances by Ashutosh Rana, Grusha Kapoor, Tanvika Parlikar, and Kiku Sharda. The romantic comedy, headlined by Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, made its way to theatres on February 7 and is now available for viewing on JioHotstar. Directed by Advait Chandan and jointly produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, the film marks a significant debut for both lead actors.

The OTT platform JioHotstar shared the news of the film’s digital release through Instagram, unveiling a motion poster that showcases the lead pair. This project holds special significance as it marks the first theatrical release for both Junaid and Khushi. Junaid had previously appeared in Netflix’s Maharaj in 2024, while Khushi made her debut with The Archies on the same platform in 2023. Loveyapa brings a light-hearted yet emotionally engaging narrative described as a complicated yet amusing take on love. Within just nine days of its release, the film managed to collect ₹8.1 crore gross in India and ₹8.85 crore worldwide, as reported by Sacnilk.com.

In an earlier interaction with ANI, Junaid humorously shared his experience working with Khushi, revealing how she would always arrive half an hour ahead of schedule, even for a 6 am call time. He jokingly expressed frustration over her punctuality. In response, Khushi explained her habit of arriving early, saying that even a few seconds of delay make her anxious. This tendency to be ahead of time is something she has practiced since childhood, often even reaching set before the generators are turned on.

When it comes to performances, the Hindustan Times review noted the evident efforts made by the lead pair. Junaid’s expressions came across as tentative, and his delivery felt more like a rehearsal than a polished act. Meanwhile, Khushi, despite her ever-present smile, showed notable progress from her earlier work and was particularly effective in emotional scenes. While both actors have room to grow, the film provides a stepping stone in their cinematic journey, offering glimpses of potential amid the imperfections.
