In India, Royal Enfield has been putting their impending neo-retro naked roadster through rigorous testing. We’ll be riding the new motorcycle in Spain next month, as Sid Lal has already revealed on his Instagram post. The model will be called the “Guerrilla.” It is going to be marketed as a more powerful and high-end substitute for the entry-level Hunter 350.

It will share a number of mechanical parts and components with the most recent Himalayan 450. Instead of having upside-down forks, the Guerrilla will have a standard telescopic fork setup with black fork gaiters. This decision implies that Royal Enfield wants to offer the Guerrilla 450 at a competitive price point, possibly undercutting its primary competition, the Triumph Speed 400.

The Himalayan 450’s performance numbers are expected to be maintained by the Guerrilla 450 despite its less expensive suspension arrangement. Released on July 17, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla is expected to retail for approximately Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a very reasonable price. In order to differentiate itself as a roadster, even though it will use the same platform as the Himalayan 450, it will have a number of unique features.

On the back suspension of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, there will be an offset monoshock and 17-inch black alloy wheels. It will have a shorter wheelbase overall and less travel in the telescopic front forks. It will have dual-channel ABS in addition to disc brakes on both the front and rear ends.

The 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine powering the motorcycle can produce 40.02 PS at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm, just like the Himalayan. It will come equipped with a slipper and assist clutch as standard and be coupled to a six-speed transmission.

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will come with a floating circular TFT cluster, split seats, ride modes, ride-by-wire throttle, circular mirrors, LED lighting throughout, a broad handlebar, footpegs that are slightly positioned backward, and other features. With road-tuned suspension, it appears to be built to provide strong touring skills at a lower weight than the Himalayan. You may be confident that the performance will be punchy in the bottom and midrange.
