Kia EV9 Electric AWD SUV For India: Details, Features, Colors, and Range Unveiled

Kia India is planning to launch its new flagship offering, the EV9 electric SUV, on October 3, 2024. The three-row SUV will be brought into the country via CBU route and it will become the most expensive offering from the brand yet with prices likely to hover in the upwards of Rs. 1 crore (ex-showroom).

The brand has released all of the important technical details, equipment list, color possibilities, etc. ahead of its presentation. It will be unveiled alongside the fourth-generation Carnival premium MPV. Domestic sales of the EV9 will be limited to its fully equipped GT-Line trim, which will be powered by a 99.8 kWh battery pack.

It functions in concert with a two-motor electric motor arrangement, one of which powers each wheel to create an all-wheel drive system. Their total output of 384 horsepower and 700 Nm of peak torque is produced. The electric SUV has won multiple awards and been warmly accepted in other markets. In India, it will have a 561 km driving range on a single charge.

It accelerates in approximately 5.3 seconds from zero to one hundred kmph. Within twenty-four minutes, a DC rapid charger can restore it from 10% to 80%. There are five paint schemes available for the six-seater EV9, which will only be available in India. It features captain sitting in the middle row.

With two interior dual-tone theme possibilities, they are Aurora Black Pearl, Pebble Gray, Panthera Metal, Snow White Pearl, and Ocean Blue. Its dimensions are 5,015 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and 3,100 mm for the wheelbase. It will, as one might anticipate, be loaded with cutting-edge features and technologies for comfort, convenience, entertainment, and safety.

Twenty-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch instrument console, two sunroofs, an illuminated steering wheel, a HUD, a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, ten airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera system, a digital key, six USB-C charging ports, memory-functioning ventilated and massage seats, triple-zone automatic climate control, and more are all included in the list of features.
