In 2025, Kia will rename its compact car, the K4, to replace the Forte, which was produced for three generations. With its sharp LED headlights, wide lower grille, and luxurious cabin, the new K4 boasts an authoritative look and is larger than its predecessor. The price of the 2025 K4 has already been revealed by Kia, and even though it starts $2000 more than the 2024 Forte, it is still a reasonable option in the growingly pricey new-car market.
The base LX model now starts at $23,145 and comes with four USB-C connections, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is due to a pricing increase. The 16-inch steel wheels with dark gray covering on the LXS are replaced with the same-sized dark gray alloy wheels, for an additional $1000. Additionally, standard rear cross-traffic collision prevention is included with the LXS.
Now available for $25,145, the K4 EX specification adds 17-inch black alloy wheels and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in place of the LX and LXS’s 4.0-inch screen. Additionally, there is a wireless charger, a dual-zone automated climate control system, and better inside trim.
For an additional $26,345 the GT-Line has more aggressive styling and swaps out the torsion-beam rear axle for a multi-link suspension system. Paddle shifters installed on the steering wheel compliment the sport-tuned suspension. In addition, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and Kia’s Highway Driving Assist system come standard. The driver’s seat is 10-way electrically adjustable with power lumbar support.
Exclusive to the LX, LXS, EX, and GT-Line models is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower to the front wheels via a continuously variable gearbox.
The more powerful 190 horsepower turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four is available to buyers who are willing to pay at least $29,245 for the GT-Line Turbo. Along with sharing many of the same features as the 2.0-liter GT-Line, such the heated and operated driver’s seat and full LED lighting throughout, the GT-Line Turbo is the only K4 to come equipped with standard imitation leather seats. In addition, the Turbo gets an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system as standard and air vents for the back seats.
September is when dealerships are expected to start receiving Kia K4s, and November is when the GT-Line is expected to make its debut. The GT-Line Turbo won’t go on sale until the beginning of 2025.
