The Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur plug-in hybrid models are part of the new Mulliner portfolio that Bentley has revealed. The improvements go beyond the engine and include some minor cosmetic adjustments.
However, the company’s new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain drives all three vehicles. It is made up of a 25.9 kWh battery pack, an electric motor, and a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. With this configuration, the luxury all-wheel drive cars can generate a combined power of 771 horsepower (575 kW / 782 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque.
With those astounding numbers, the automobiles can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in as little as 3.1 seconds. Additionally, customers can go up to 50 miles (81 km) at speeds of up to 87 mph (140 km/h) just on electricity. An 11 kW charger can fully recharge the battery when it runs out in about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Aside from the engine, every model has a redesigned Floating Diamond grille with a vertical bar and a chrome surround. They’re accompanied by chromed air intakes, chrome side accents, chromed tailpipes, and Satin Silver mirror caps. Additionally, the vehicles are mounted on unique 22-inch wheels with Bentley Mulliner emblems that automatically level.
The Continental GT and GTC have Mulliner badging on the front fenders as well as headlights with a “new, unique and highly intricate ‘cut crystal’ reflector.” The Flying Spur, on the other hand, has a Flying B hood ornament as well as new front fender vents with “double-diamond detailing.”
New red-tinted taillights and animated lighting sequences complete the external highlights. There are 101 paint colors accessible, but clients can also request custom paint matching and classic colors.
The interiors are essentially unchanged, however a new diamond perforation pattern and unique seats with Mulliner embroidery are included. Bentley also pointed out that the Continental GTC Mulliner’s tonneau cover has stitching throughout, which is visible when the roof is lowered.
Most significantly, automated climate control and posture adjustment Wellness front seats are now standard on the automobiles. Additionally, the Flying Spur has the luxurious seats in back to reduce passenger tiredness.
Not to mention, a new particulate filter and air ionizers have been added to the temperature control system. Additionally, the infotainment system features new displays that show the exterior and interior air quality.
