With the release of Firefox 126.0.1 less than a month ago, Mozilla has improved their browser. The extended support release went from 115.11 to 115.12, while the normal flavor reached version 127. The Nightly release is now identified as 129, and the Dev and Beta releases have been pushed to 128 at the same time. Firefox 127 has a few notable updates along with fixes for a few security issues.
Among these updates is what Mozilla calls “a big update” to the browser’s snapshot feature, which allows users to take pictures of different about: pages as well as file types including SVG and XML. In addition, the Screenshots tool now supports High Contrast Mode (HCM) and has additional shortcuts and theme compatibility. Furthermore, taking huge screenshots is now more effective.
Users can now close duplicate tabs using a new option added to the “List all tabs” widget. Linux, Android 10+, and Windows 11 now support using the operating system’s DNS resolver to resolve HTTPS DNS records. In relation to Windows, Firefox users now have the option to set up the browser to open automatically when the computer boots up.
Instead of utilizing the system default configuration, tab navigation for links and other components is enabled by default in Firefox 127 for macOS.
