Indians now have the convenience of using JioFinance to purchase tickets for the Eiffel Tower via its official website, La Tour Eiffel, and for shopping at the renowned Galeries Lafayette Paris Hausmann department store. This expansion into Paris marks the international debut of the JioFinance app, which enables Indian travelers to make payments at select tourist destinations, according to an announcement by the company on August 6.

In addition to facilitating ticket purchases and shopping, the JioFinance app is being showcased at the India House at the Paris Olympics 2024. This initiative, conceptualized by Reliance Foundation in collaboration with the Indian Olympic Association, includes an experience center for the JioFinance app. Visa, the official payments partner of the Paris Olympics, has partnered with JioFinance to establish a presence at the India House.

The JioFinance app offers a variety of features, including UPI, digital bank accounts, wallet services, bill payments and recharges, insurance broking, and a single-window view of holdings across multiple bank accounts. Jio Financial Services (JFS) has already released the beta version of the JioFinance App and initiated the leasing of AirFiber devices.

Earlier in the year, Jio Financial Services announced a 50:50 joint venture with US-based BlackRock to provide wealth management and broking services in India. Additionally, JFS has introduced loans against mutual funds, digital insurance for automobiles and two-wheelers, and plans to explore loans against property and securities.

For the June quarter, Jio Financial Services reported a net profit of Rs 312.63 crore, slightly up from Rs 310.63 crore in the previous quarter. The company’s total income for the quarter ended June 30 was Rs 417.82 crore, compared to Rs 414.13 crore a year earlier and Rs 418.18 crore for the quarter ended March 31. These figures were shared by the company on July 15.

The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Jio Financial Services after its listing is scheduled for Friday, August 30, at 2:00 PM, as informed by the company to exchanges on August 5.
