This Valentine’s Day, SpaceX was unable to continue the love of Falcon 9 flights with a launch from California. The Starlink 7-14 mission’s attempt at launch was scrubbed by the firm.
At 1:34 p.m. PST (4:34 p.m. EST, 2134 UTC), the Falcon 9 rocket supporting this mission will have its next chance to launch. SpaceX has not given a reason for the scrub.
The USSF-124 mission, coordinated by Space Systems Command of the U.S. Space Force, and the IM-1 mission, a robotic lunar lander from Houston-based Intuitive Machines, are the two flagship SpaceX projects that are sandwiched between this most recent Starlink trip.
On Thursday, February 15, at 1:05 a.m. EST (0605 UTC), the latter is scheduled to launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The former successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 5:30 p.m. EST (2230 UTC).
The 9th dedicated Starlink launch of 2024 and the 299th Falcon 9 launch overall are scheduled for the Starlink 7–14 mission. The first stage booster, tail number B1082, will land on the droneship after stage separation.
