It is anticipated that the production-ready version will make its debut in January 2025 during the Bharat Mobility Show’s second edition.
Tata Harrier EV: Overview of Features and Design
The Harrier EV’s design will resemble that of the ICE-powered vehicle, which underwent a redesign at the end of last year. Certain EV-specific design elements, like the closed-off front grille, will be easily noticeable. In addition, the Harrier EV will have aero-specific 5-spoke alloy wheels, a revised bumper, and integrated LED lighting elements, among many other features.
The Harrier EV’s cabin will be equipped with the same features as its ICE-powered equivalent. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, and a gesture-activated operated tailgate are among the features on the list.
Specifics of the Battery and Platform
The Tata Harrier EV will use the Gen II EV architecture as its foundation. Acti.EV, a pure EV architecture, serves as the foundation for both the Punch EV and Curvv EV. The next Harrier is anticipated to come with several 60–80 kWh battery packs. Additionally, it is anticipated to include two electric motors—one for the front axle and another for the rear axle—in order to provide an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) setup.
The single motor that powers the cheaper or standard variations will almost certainly be located on the front axle. Additionally, Vehicle-2-Load and Vehicle-2-Vehicle functions are probably going to be added.
Cost
The base model Harrier EV is anticipated to cost approximately Rs 22 lakh ex-showroom, while the fully loaded models may cost as much as Rs 28-30 lakh.
