Tata Motors has shown the Curvv, which is ready for production. The coupe-SUV, which will be based on the new ATLAS platform, will come with a variety of engine choices, including entirely electric, diesel, and gasoline.

The EV version of the Curvv concept was unveiled in April 2022, and the ICE version debuted in January 2023. The manufacturing models have a few less, more subdued elements but otherwise seem extremely similar. The sloping roofline is the focal point.

The specification for manufacture Tata Curvv has given up some of the flair of its concept cars in favor of usefulness. The strong design signals have vanished, to be replaced with less aggressive posture and more classic components like traditional mirrors. The general design is now more in keeping with Tata’s current lineup, even though the sloping roofline is still present.

While the sheet metal on the profile and tail seems to be the same, the primary differences between the EV and ICE variants are the grille-less appearance, bumper-mounted charging outlet, and EV emblems for the former. For improved aerodynamics, the electric version also receives a different set of alloy wheels.

The SUV can be provided with a range of powertrain options because the platform is compatible with both ICE and EV vehicles.

The ICE-powered variant comes with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that can provide 118 horsepower (88 kW / 120 PS) and two different turbo 1.2-liter three-cylinder engines that can produce up to 125 horsepower (93 kW / 127 PS). Either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or a six-speed manual transfers power to the front wheels.

Two versions of the totally electric Curvv are available. The entry-level model has a single electric motor that generates 150 horsepower (112 kW / 152 PS) and a 45 kWh battery pack. The flagship EV has a more powerful electric motor with 165 horsepower (123 kW / 167 PS) and a larger 55 kWh battery. According to Tata, the smaller battery’s real-world range will be about 330–350 km (205-218 miles), and the larger battery’s real-world range will be about 400–425 km (249–264 miles).
