The OTT release date of Chiyaan Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 has been announced. It will be available at this time

Chiyaan Vikram’s action-packed Tamil thriller Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is all set to make its digital premiere on Prime Video, following a short run in cinemas. The much-anticipated OTT release was confirmed on Friday, and fans of the star will be able to stream the film from April 24. Within just a few weeks of hitting the big screen, the movie is heading to homes across more than 240 countries and territories. Along with dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, the movie will be accessible in its original Tamil language.

Directed and written by S.U. Arun Kumar, the intense survival thriller features a gripping narrative filled with high-stakes action and emotional drama. Famous actors S. J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu (who is making his Tamil film debut), Dushara Vijayan, Prudhvi Raj, and Siddique are among the cast members in addition to Vikram. Set against the vibrant yet chaotic backdrop of a temple festival in Madurai, the story revolves around Kaali, a devoted husband and father who runs a humble provision store. However, his peaceful life is disrupted when his shadowy past catches up with him, forcing him into a dangerous confrontation with his former crime boss, Periyavar Ravi.

Interestingly, the film had a rocky road to release. Just a day before its theatrical debut, it faced legal hurdles when B4U filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking a stay. The issue was promptly settled, and on March 27 the movie was eventually released. Despite the initial turbulence, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 had a solid start at the box office, reportedly earning ₹40.95 crore within the first five days of release, according to Sacnilk.

The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, adding an emotional and intense layer to the action-driven storyline. Though titled as Part 2, this release marks the first installment to hit the screens, with Part 1, which will serve as the prequel, yet to begin production.
