In 2020, the Toyota Supra’s current generation was introduced. A 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged with 335 horsepower was the only engine option available for the first model year. 2021 saw Toyota increase the 3.0’s output and add a 2.0-liter inline-four turbocharged to produce 255 horsepower. As of right now, the 3.0 and 3.0 Premium are the only available trim levels for the GR Supra, as Toyota is discontinuing the smaller engine.
Purchasing a GR Supra has suddenly become significantly more expensive due to the removal of the four-cylinder engine. Trim-to-trim costs only went up by $850 between 2024 and 2025, but the base 3.0 model, which used to cost $47,535 instead, is now the least expensive Supra at $57,345 due to its removal. The price of the 3.0 Premium trim is $60,495; this is slightly more. Fortunately, the six-speed manual gearbox is returning for a further year and is available at no additional cost to replace the regular eight-speed automatic.
The 3.0 has an 8.8-inch central display, a 10-speaker audio system, and power-adjustable seats with Alcantara and black leather upholstery. The 3.0 Premium has 12 speakers and better seating in leather that is either black or hazelnut in color. Only Renaissance Red, Nocturnal (black), Absolute Zero (white), or the more expensive Stratosphere blue (shown above) are available as paint choices.
