Three Different Trims
It has been known for some time that the ID.Buzz model sold in the United States will have an 86.0-kWh battery that can power a single motor with 282-hp to drive the rear wheels or a dual motor system with 335-hp to provide all-wheel drive. know that all versions will ride on the same 127.5-inch wheelbase that accommodates three rows of seats, but they do not yet know their EPA range estimates. Discover the three trim levels of the vehicle as well as their configurations.
The Pro S, which will be the base model, will only have a RWD drivetrain. 20-inch wheels, ambient interior lighting with 30 customizable colors, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a suite of driver-assistance technologies, including memory-based self-parking that saves the parking process for particular spaces, are among its standard features. Additionally, the Pro S offers a second-row bench seat that can accommodate up to seven passengers.
Rear- or all-wheel drive is available for the Pro S Plus; the latter requires second-row captain’s seats, limiting the number of passengers to six. More desirable options like a head-up display, a 700-watt Harman Kardon sound, and a 360-degree video system are also included with the Plus trim. Additionally, a manually retractable trailer hitch is included; however, the ID.Buzz’s towing capacity is currently unknown. When the back seats are folded, the available “flexboard” makes a flat floor, and an optional electrochromic panoramic sunroof with clear and opaque options is also available.
Only at debut will the 2025 VW ID.Buzz First Edition be available. Because it is based on the Pro S Plus, it comes with the same standard equipment and both powertrain options. In addition, the First Edition has roof-mounted cross bars, exclusive badging, and 20-inch wheels. The tailgate, motion-activated sliding doors, and electrochromic glass are standard, although a two-tone paint job is required. Similarly, every interior needs to be the Dune model, which features trim that looks like wood and light gray leatherette upholstery with accents the color of clay.
VW promises that further information, including pricing, will be released closer to the ID.Buzz’s later-this-year introduction date, which we can’t wait for.
