In Singapore, the Honor Magic6 Pro is now obtainable. In January 2024, it made its debut in China, its home market. It then made its way to other worldwide markets through a MWC 2024 debut before making its way here on March 28, 2024.
Honor has some AI tricks up its sleeve in addition to more hardware upgrades to help it differentiate itself from the competition, which is already bragging about all kinds of AI smartphone wizardry.
Honor’s Falcon Camera System, which includes the three rear cameras and the software for fine-tuning them, is available with the Magic6 Pro. Three cameras are included: a 50 MP primary, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 180 MP Periscope Telephoto.
With a customized HDR sensor, the primary camera offers a “210% enhancement in dynamic range” over the primary shooter of its predecessor. With in-sensor zoom technology, the telephoto camera offers “seamless zoom options” of 5x and up to 100x digital zoom in addition to its 2.5x optical zoom.
Additional improvements include an ultra-large variable aperture with exact aperture control between f/1.4 and f/2.0 (like to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra) and a professional-grade sports portrait algorithm that replicates the bokeh of sports photography, even in rapid motion, by utilizing both the primary and telephoto cameras.
Lastly, Honor refers to the camera’s AI Motion Sensing technology, which has been trained on popular sports to make it more appropriate for sports photography. It extends beyond ball-based sports to include gymnastics, skating, and other “stretching movements.”
Beyond its cameras, the Magic6 Pro offers further benefits. Compared to traditional lithium-based batteries, it has a second-generation 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery with a better energy density. Honor has incorporated an Honor E1 power efficiency chipset to enhance its ability to withstand low temperatures. Fast charging for the battery is available at 80W Wired SuperCharge and 66W Wireless SuperCharge.
The Magic6 Pro’s 6.8-inch display panel has a peak HDR brightness of 5,000 nits, which surpasses the 2,600 nits of the already dazzling Samsung Galaxy S24 series. This is just one more fancy feature of the device. The LTPO OLED also has almost all of the bells and whistles required to be considered a flagship model, including 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, Dolby Vision support, an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, and its own, certified drop-resistant NanoCrystal Shield glass.
With the exception of the latest 2024 Snapdragon premium flagship chipset, IP68-rated water and dust resistance, Triple TÜV Certifications for its display, 3D face recognition, fingerprint sensor support, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7 support, and USB 3.1 for its Type-C port, the rest of the phone has all the features that complete its flagship classification.
Additionally, the Honor Magic6 Pro’s MagicOS operating system now has additional AI functions that provide consumers even more opportunities to engage with the device. Here is a detailed description of MagicLM and its companion Magic Portal or Magic Capsule features.
