With fresh design, new CPUs, and Moto AI, Motorola recently unveiled the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra smartphones in China. These devices are now available in the UK and throughout Europe according to the brand.
The Moto Razr 50 Ultra
The dual camera arrangement on the cover side of the Moto Razr 50 Ultra is surrounded by a sizable external display. The display has a 4.0-inch dimension and a pOLED panel with a high refresh rate of 165 Hz. The device’s internal display is a 6.9-inch foldable POLED LTPO panel with HDR10+ and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has an IPX8 water resistance rating, a 6000 series high-strength aluminum frame, vegan leather on the back, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front.
It has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor under the hood, along with 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage and 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. With a 4000 mAh battery, it can be charged at 45W TurboPower, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse power. Face unlock and a side fingerprint reader are examples of security features.
Its Android 14 operating system combined with Moto Ai gives it access to software capabilities like Magic Canvas, which enables users to create backgrounds using text prompts. Along with the standard Motorola gesture controls, it also has the ability to chop to switch on the fresh light, twist your wrist to open the camera, and take screenshots with three fingers.
When it comes to optics, it boasts a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a second 50MP sensor that doubles as a 2x telephoto camera. The phone includes a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The device’s audio system consists of three microphones with enhanced voice control using Gemini and the Moto AI agent, and two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
There are several different WiFi protocols (such as WiFi 5G, WiFi 6/6E, and WiFi 7), multiple GPS systems (GPS, A-GPS, LTEPP, SUPL, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou), Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a host of other connectivity possibilities. The phone has a USB Type-C connection (USB 2.0) and supports both physical SIM cards and eSIMs.
