After first revealing the Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 Pro in China back in August, Xiaomi is now planning a global release. Compared to its predecessor, the Electric Air Compressor 2 Pro delivers a number of noteworthy enhancements.
With just one charge, the 2,500mAh battery of this small gadget can inflate up to 16 vehicle tires or 30 road bike tires. It takes around 45 seconds to fully inflate a 205/55 R16 car tire from 2.0 to 2.5 Bar, which is significantly less time than the two minutes it took for the previous model. It works in temperatures ranging from -10°C to 45°C and can inflate tires to a pressure range of 0.2 to 10.3 Bar, or 3 to 150 PSI.
With five inflation modes to accommodate various tire sizes and kinds, the 2 Pro allows customized settings to match individual pressure requirements. When the desired pressure is attained, it immediately stops, and the display shows the progress in real time.
Important features include a USB-C charging port, a compact, portable design, and a multimode indication light for use as a flashlight and for warnings. The compressor requires around 3.5 hours to fully charge and has a rated input of 5V⎑3A and rated energy of 27Wh. The gadget is around 152 x 100 x 63 mm when the high-pressure air pipe is not included.
The Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 Pro, a needle valve, a storage bag, a fast-connecting air valve, a high-pressure air hose extension, a Type-C charging cable, and an instruction booklet are all included in the box.
Although availability and pricing are still pending, it should be reasonably priced, coming in around the $45 level of the previous model. The Air Compressor 2 Pro is available in China for 299 yuan, or about $42.
