The highly anticipated release of Apple’s iPhone 16 series is scheduled for later this year. With an understanding of what Apple has planned for its upcoming iPhone generation, the leaks have already begun to pour in. Better cameras, larger screens, and larger batteries are among the notable improvements that the iPhone 16 Pro variants are rumored to have.
The four models that have historically been offered by the iPhone 16 series are the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The display upgrades are among the most noticeable ones. There are rumors that the Pro and Pro Max models will have bigger screens-the Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro Max would have a massive 6.9-inch screen. This should improve the overall viewing and gameplay experience, though using it one-handedly may provide some difficulties. The screen sizes of the ordinary iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, meanwhile, are probably going to stay at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively, similar to their predecessors. There are also rumors that the basic iPhone 16 may eventually have a 120Hz refresh rate, which would provide cleaner images.
Performance-wise, the Pro series should be powered by the most recent A18 Pro chipsets, while the ordinary models might use an A17 processor that has been upgraded. Though more information on the chipsets is still pending, there are also rumors that the Pro variants will incorporate graphene to improve heat dissipation.
Leaks about camera upgrades indicate that a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens for enhanced low-light photography is among the enhancements. The Pro Max version could add 5x Telephoto lenses to both Pro models and include an innovative eight-part hybrid lens. In addition, there are reports that the Pro Max model will come with a periscope lens that supports an optical zoom of up to 6x.
Increased battery capacity is also expected; rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 series will have bigger batteries. It is anticipated that the iPhone 16 Pro Max model will have a larger 4,676mAh battery, while the iPhone 16 Standard may have a 3,561mAh battery and the iPhone 16 Plus may have a 4,006mAh battery.
While major design modifications are not expected, there have been reports that a punch-hole design will be used on all models and that a Capture Button will be added for instant video capturing capabilities. It is also expected that the USB Type-C port would remain active.
