Although Android 14 has been available since October, its release was spread across compatible devices. When it comes to software update release dates, manufacturers don’t coordinate and some even avoid from disclosing them to the public. Having said that, in order to get the most out of their gadgets, customers always want to make sure they have the most recent software. In order to maintain a competitive advantage, Motorola is expanding the availability of Android 14 in order to capitalize on the increasing demand of its handsets.
Motorola is starting to roll out the Android 14 update to more of its devices, as seen on their support page (via Phone Arena). The software update will be available for the Razr 40, 40 Ultra, Razr+ (2023), Razr (2023), and Razr (2022) models. Owners of the Edge+ (2023), Edge+ (2022), Edge+ 5G UW (2022), Edge 40 Pro, Edge 40 Neo, Edge 40, Edge 30 Ultra, Edge 30 Pro, Edge 30 Neo, Edge 30 Fusion, and Edge 30 will receive the improve from the Edge series. Lastly, owners of G Series devices (those with 5G/2023) won’t be excluded; Android 14 will also be available for Stylus 5G (2023), Stylus (2023), Power 5G (2023), G84 5G, G54, G73 5G, G53 5G, G23, and G14. Motorola has announced that the Lenovo ThinkPhone would receive Android 14 as a part of the rollout, although generally speaking, no dates or dates have been publicized.
The tech company is experiencing a rise in popularity as more people start using its devices, despite the fact that it has been late to release Android 14. Motorola has continued to explore the possibilities of foldable designs, which has contributed to its success, even as other firms launch touchscreen smartphones with flat displays. For example, the Razr series still has a foldable appearance, and many are already starting to look forward to the 2024 series. According to rumors, Verizon might carry the Razr+ 2024, unlike last year. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a welcome improvement over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC found in its predecessor, is rumored to be included in the smartphone.
You’re not alone if you haven’t given Motorola devices any thought in a while. It is now harder for the massive, Lenovo-owned corporation to stay a household name because of its rivals. But as Motorola launches a new campaign to gain ground, it might be interesting to take a closer look at their offerings. Although they might not be as showy as previous flagship models, the corporation appears committed to enhancing its reputation.
