Aditi Rao Hydari makes a striking appearance in a red saree at Cannes; “Adu is wearing sindoor for Siddhu.” stated by her husband Siddharth

Aditi Rao Hydari captivated the internet this afternoon with a stunning snapshot from the 78th Cannes Film Festival. Draped in a vivid red saree, she stood against the serene Mediterranean coast, embodying elegance and grace. The saree, a Raw Mango creation, was complemented by traditional touches-statement jewellery, a delicate bindi, and vermillion-highlighting her newlywed glow.

What truly made the moment special was a heartfelt comment from her husband, actor Siddharth, who wrote, “Adu is wearing sindoor for Siddhu,” melting hearts across social media. The couple, who tied the knot last year, held their wedding in an intimate ceremony at Aditi’s 400-year-old ancestral temple in Wanaparthy, Telangana. They later posted lyrical message on Instagram expressing their happiness, saying : “You are my Sun, my Moon, and all my Stars… To being Pixie Soulmates for eternity… To laugh and never grow up… To Eternal Magic, Light, and Love. Mrs. Adu and Mr. Siddhu.”

Earlier in the week, Aditi graced the Cannes red carpet in a dazzling ombré gown by designer Rahul Mishra. The outfit, which was styled by Priyanka Kapadia Badani, included salli-glass tubes, which are used in Indian embroidery, glass beads, sequins, and intricate resham work. The structured silhouette, complete with a corseted bodice and sculpted waist, flowed into an ethereal gradient from black to ivory. She completed the look with Chopard jewellery while attending the premiere of Fuori on May 20 at the Palais des Festivals.

The increasing visibility of Indian artists on the international stage was bolstered by Aditi’s Cannes appearance. Earlier, she had posted glimpses of her arrival, showcasing scenic views and her daily “double espresso” ritual. She also joined the Homebound team for their big premiere night. When Janhvi Kapoor made her own red carpet debut, she caused a stir and was compared to her mother, Sridevi, who is considered legendary.

Aditi was recently seen in Heeramandi and is currently filming O Saathi Re, a web series by Imtiaz Ali featuring Avinash Tiwary.
