At the Xiaomi product launch event on October 29, Xiaomi will introduce the Ultra version of the SU7. as reported. It will have the biggest ceramic brakes ever seen on a sports vehicle.

The brake discs in the front and back are 430 x 40 mm and 410 x 32 mm, respectively. It is stated that the ceramic brakes can withstand temperatures of up to 1300°C (2372°F).

Racing and high-performance sports automobiles have been the primary users of these brakes. Because of their great temperature resistance, robust longevity, and lightweight design, ceramic brakes provide exceptional braking performance.

Materials made of carbon-ceramic can tolerate temperatures of exceeding 1000°C. Additionally, even under regular high-intensity braking circumstances, such those found on a track, they do not experience thermal damage from overheating.

Because they weigh less than half as much as conventional cast iron brake discs, they help lighten the vehicle and enhance handling. They are also perfect for long-term high-performance use because they last three to five times as long as steel brake disks and wear less. The cost of the materials and the intricate manufacturing process make them significantly more expensive.

The starting price is anticipated to be more over 800,000 yuan (112,250 USD).

Unlike the prototype, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will be able to be driven legally. The engine, which consists of three Xiaomi super motors—two V8s and one V6—is thought to be identical, though. These motors work together to provide a three-motor, four-wheel drive system that can produce up to 1138kW (1548PS) of power.

This should provide a top speed of over 350 km/h and an acceleration time of just 1.97 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

The Qilin 2.0 battery from CATL powers the 150 kWh battery pack of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. Xiaomi integrates the battery into the vehicle using a cell-to-body (CTB) structure, which increases stiffness and decreases weight. 1,330 kW is its maximum output. High-speed driving is made easier by its dual-surface cooking system, which boosts cooling efficiency by 60%.
