Arriving to the Chinese market, the Changan Nevo E07 crossover is priced at 199,900 yuan (28,100 USD). It can be bought in both BEV and EREV versions. However, the transformation potential is its primary characteristic. A simple button push may change it from an SUV to a pickup truck.

Changan Nevo is a relatively new brand that goes by Qiyuan in China. The production of new energy vehicles is its main objective. The majority of its model line consists of Changan brand PHEV or EV versions of ICE vehicles (such as the Nevo Q05, Nevo A05, or Nevo A06). However, a few of Changan Nevo’s models are particularly noteworthy. And without a doubt, one of them is the Nevo E07.

An overview of Changan Nevo E07

The first transformer SUV to be mass-produced is the E07. It initially appears to be a long SUV coupe with a low beltline. However, it has a retractable trunk cover that is operated by electricity. As a result, it can change from an SUV to a pickup. It can support 300 kg of weight.

The Changan Nevo E07 has a sleek interior design without a traditional instrument panel. The head-up display, measuring 28.86 inches, took its place. Behind the Nevo E07’s three-spoke steering wheel is the gear changer. This car’s big 15.4-inch floating screen is another highlight. The Nevo E07’s front passenger includes an optional display in place of a sun visor.

The Changan Nevo E07’s engine

There are EREV and BEV powertrain options available for the Changan Nevo E07. The 1.5-liter ICE in the extended-range model produces 105 kW (141 horsepower). It functions as a generator without giving the wheels any torque. The base Nevo E07 has a single 231 kW (310 horsepower) e-motor in the back axle. The 4WD version has a 131 kW (176 horsepower) extra electric motor in the front axle. With a 39.05 kWh battery capacity, the CLTC range is between 185 and 200 km.

A single e-motor producing 252 kW (338 hp) at the back axle powers the Changan Nevo E07, an entry-level all-electric vehicle. Plus, the 4WD version boasts 590 horsepower (440 kW). It takes 3.96 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. With a capacity of 70 and 90 kWh, the battery pack offers a CLTC range of 551 to 701 km. The Nevo E07 also has a continuous dampening system and air suspension.
