The flagship Q8 SUV received a facelift and was first unveiled globally in 2023. It is currently available in India for Rs 1.17 crore.
Exterior
The Audi Q8’s midlife redesign features modest but significant design improvements. The grille, bumper, and headlights are the main areas of the front end that have been updated. There are now new octagonal openings in the huge octagonal grille. Air intakes on the bumper have also been redesigned for a more streamlined appearance.
The most notable change is the addition of a high-power laser diode for the high beam in the new HD Matrix LED headlights. When traveling at over 70 kmph, this high-beam laser light turns on automatically. The LED DRLs come with four customizable light signatures and are arranged differently.
The updated external design is completed with a reworked bumper and connected LED tail lamps with OLED technology at the back that enable adjustable lighting characteristics. Additionally, when a car gets within two meters of the SUV, the tail lights now turn on automatically, improving safety.
Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Gray, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown, and Vicuna Beige are the eight exterior color options for the 2017 Audi Q8.
Features, Interior, and Safety
The facelifted Audi Q8’s interior is mainly unaltered from the outgoing model, with the exception of new seat upholstery stitching, dashboard trim inserts, and updated interior color schemes.
Three digital screens (a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a driver’s display, and a climate control display) and a head-up display are among the features that the new Q8 keeps. Additional features include a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system, heated and ventilated front seats with a massaging function, a panoramic sunroof, and four-zone climate control.
Multiple airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and park assist are among the safety features.
Powertrain
The pre-facelift vehicles’ 3-liter turbo-petrol V6 engine (340 PS/500 Nm) and 48V mild hybrid setup are carried over into the 2024 Audi Q8. An eight-speed automatic transmission distributes power to all four wheels (AWD). The Q8 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, with a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
