Google Photos for Android is launching a new feature that enables users to create mirror images. It is integrated into the app’s built-in editor and makes picture flipping possible by default According to the report. The feature is seen to be helpful, particularly when taking selfies using the front-facing camera on an Android phone, where the text is typically mirrored and unreadable. Furthermore, it has been stated that Google Photos is finally implementing a dark mode style for its desktop edition.

Mirroring Images in Google Photos

Users can now mirror their photographs in the photographs app, according to an update Google made to its help website. At the moment, it can only be found on the Android app. By enabling users to flip an image with the built-in editor, it may eliminate the requirement for a third-party image editor. To mirror a picture, users must:

  • Open the Google Photos app.
  • Tap the Edit icon and then Crop.
  • Tap the flip icon and select Save.

Desktop Dark Mode

Google Photos is reportedly finally releasing a dark option for its desktop version in addition to a new feature for its Android app. It’s dark mode! Photos can now have a dark theme applied to them.

Users will have the ability to select between Light, Dark, and Use device default in the Google Photos desktop settings.
