More information has been released by the tipsters who first revealed early renders of the Google Pixel 9 series phones in early 2024 (OnLeaks, in association with 91Mobiles).

Initially, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL renders were leaked earlier. Contrary to popular belief, it was not the Pixel 9 base model.

Second, now that it’s known that Google is expanding the Pixel 9 portfolio with an XL model, these tipsters have created fresh renders for the device.

Combine that with the possibility of seeing the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL XL reintroduction of the XL models.

According to the most recent March 2024 renders by the tipsters, the base Pixel 9 is expected to have flat edges, rounded corners, and a display that resembles the current generation of Apple iPhones. The early concept renders from the two would still show the oblong-shaped elevated camera housing protruding from the rest of the device.

Google last offered an XL version of one of its Pixel phones, the Google Pixel 4 XL (review here), which for some reason disappeared from the Pixel 5 series. The Pixel 4 XL back then looked a lot like the iPhone.
