In January, Samsung introduced its Galaxy AI suite alongside the launch of the Galaxy S24 series. While the South Korean tech giant initially announced that these AI-powered features would be free until the end of 2025, there were hints that charges might be applied after that period. With the recent debut of the Galaxy S24 FE, Samsung has reiterated this, suggesting that some features could become paid by the end of next year.

A report from SamMobile highlights that Samsung mentioned in the press release for the global launch of the Galaxy S24 FE that certain AI functionalities could incur fees after 2025. Although some sources have struggled to locate this specific detail in official communications, the company has maintained that Galaxy AI features will remain free until the end of 2025 on supported devices. The availability of these features may vary based on region, as previously mentioned during the unveiling of the Galaxy S24 series in January and the Z series foldables in July.

Over the past months, Samsung has extended its Galaxy AI capabilities beyond its flagship devices. Models like the Fan Edition (FE) and select tablets now offer these AI tools. There are also reports that the company plans to introduce these features to certain A-series smartphones as well.

Among the most notable Galaxy AI features is Note Assist, which helps users record, transcribe, and summarize audio. Another standout tool is Sketch-to-Image, which allows users to generate images from their doodles or drawings made in the Notes app or from photos in the Gallery app. While not exclusive to the Galaxy AI suite, Circle to Search is another useful feature. This tool allows users to highlight any part of their screen and search the web for related information. Lastly, the PDF Overlay Translation feature can translate text within PDF files and overlay the translated content on the document, offering a seamless translation experience.
