The 2025 Kawasaki Z650RS is currently priced at ₹7.20 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market. The single modification made to the motorcycle for 2025 is the addition of a new color scheme named Ebony. In contrast, the ex-showroom price of the 2024 Z650RS was ₹6.99 lakh.

A combination of gold and black is used in the new color scheme. The fuel tank and tail have gold stripes, while the main color is gloss black. Additionally, the alloy wheels have a gold finish, which makes them appear really good. The fact that Kawasaki chose not to apply a golden finish to the front forks is somewhat unexpected.

The Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRS), the most recent innovation to the Z650RS, should make the vehicle safer, particularly on wet or gravelly roads.

The Z650RS stands out for its vintage style, which is enhanced by a modern engine. It has a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a streamlined tail section, two analogue gauges with a digital display in the middle, and a round headlamp up front.

The same 649 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that powers the Versys 650 and Ninja 650 models also powers the Z650RS. This engine can produce a maximum of 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm and 67 horsepower of power at 8,000 rpm. The motorcycle has a six-speed transmission with a slip clutch and an assist.

The tubular diamond frame used by Kawasaki is held up by a monoshock at the back and telescopic forks at the front. There is 130 mm of travel in the rear suspension and 125 mm in the front. The Z650RS has two 272 mm discs up front and one 186 mm disc down back for braking.

The Ninja 1100SX sports tourer was introduced by the brand prior to the Z650RS. Ex-showroom, it costs 13.49 lakh and comes with a number of enhancements, most notably a larger powerplant.
