Keerthy Suresh politely corrects paparazzi when they call her ‘Kriti’ and ‘dosa’

Keerthy Suresh has been actively promoting her Bollywood debut film, Baby John, alongside co-stars Varun Dhawan and Wamiqa Gabbi. The film, which hit cinemas on December 25, has garnered a decent response from audiences. However, a recent incident during the promotions caught everyone’s attention when Keerthy appeared slightly irked by the paparazzi’s behavior, particularly when they mispronounced her name and made a stereotypical “dosa” reference.

A video shared online by paparazzi captured Keerthy looking effortlessly chic in a sleeveless denim dress while promoting the movie in Mumbai. The actress also subtly flaunted her mangalsutra, which added to her graceful appearance. Despite her poised demeanor, the situation took an awkward turn when the photographers mistakenly addressed her as “Kriti.” Visibly annoyed, Keerthy promptly corrected them, saying, “It is not Kriti; it is Keerthy.” The moment didn’t end there, as some paparazzi made a “dosa” comment—a term often associated with South Indian stars that has sparked criticism within the industry over its stereotypical undertone.

With her signature composure and a touch of humor, Keerthy responded, “Keerthy dosa nahi, Keerthy Suresh hai, aur dosa mujhe pasand hai,” adding a warm smile before concluding the photo session and heading to the venue. Her witty remark subtly addressed the stereotype while maintaining her charm.

Baby John, directed by Kalees, is an official Bollywood adaptation of Atlee’s Tamil blockbuster Theri, originally starring Thalapathy Vijay. Despite the buzz, the movie managed to collect only ₹13 crores at the box office on its opening day. The project also marks Atlee’s debut as a Bollywood producer, adding a significant milestone to his career.

Meanwhile, Keerthy recently entered a new chapter in her personal life, marrying her childhood friend and longtime partner Antony Thattil on December 12 in Goa. The wedding was a grand celebration attended by prominent names like Trisha Krishnan, Thalapathy Vijay, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and other notable stars.
