Two flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro, are expected to be on sale later this year, most likely following Qualcomm’s October announcement of its next flagship processor. Online leaks of specifications for both phones’ upcoming releases have given tech fans a preview of what to expect from the OnePlus 11 5G and Oppo Find X6 Pro’s successors. Both phones are expected to run on the purported Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and facilitate rapid charging at up to 150W.
On Weibo, the information about “at least three” new smartphones featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors was leaked by the tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese). The tipper claims that these phones will have 2K displays with narrow, slightly curved screens that support high-frequency dimming.
The informant also revealed the three smartphones’ charging capacities, claiming that they will support 100W, 150W, and 240W wired charging. According to the Weibo user, all three phones will enable 50W wireless charging.
The tipster hasn’t yet revealed the names or model numbers of these devices, or any other information about them. However, according to a TheTechOutlook report citing a Twitter user, one of the three phones will be the OnePlus 12, which supports both 50W and 150W of wireless charging. At 100W and 50W, respectively, the Oppo Find X7 Pro is said to offer wired and wireless charging.
According to the report, both smartphones will have curved displays that allow high-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) fading. Both phones will have thin bezels, in the meanwhile. It is important to note that OnePlus and Oppo have not yet released any information on the release of these alleged handsets.
A source from last month stated that the OnePlus 12 would be released in December. According to the leaked roadmap for the release of the following OnePlus flagship device, the device may be among the first to come with Qualcomm’s upcoming high-end processor.
According to a another claim, OnePlus may use a Samsung 2K OLED display on the purported OnePlus 12. The phone’s screen is reported to feature a 120Hz refresh rate and a quad-HD+ resolution. However, since the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro aren’t scheduled to go on sale in China for some months, it is wise to take these assertions with a pinch of salt.
