In its native market of South Korea, Kia unveiled the redesigned Sportage, which boasts a more upscale cabin, additional features, and revised style cues.

While there are new alloy wheels and fenders elsewhere, the side body panels are essentially the same. New LED tail lamps and a modified bumper are added to the back.

New customized interior themes, a heads-up display, sharper air conditioning vents, a two-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, mood lighting, and switchgear are all part of the Sportage’s redesigned cabin. Advanced ADAS features, a driver-monitoring camera, and a grip detection system with vibration alerts on the steering wheel are examples of safety technology.

The 2.0L engine that powers the Sportage’s base model still produces 144 horsepower. The 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine, which now comes with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, produces 177 horsepower for those who want more power. A slight bump is also given to the hybrid version, which combines the same 1.6L turbo engine with an electric motor to produce 64 horsepower.

With the help of paddle shifters, drivers can now modify the Sportage’s regenerative braking system’s intensity. Additionally, information from the navigation system is now used by the adaptive braking system to adjust to road conditions. has a new two-way damper installed on the front wheel strut to help lessen road noise.
