Mercedes-Benz India is preparing for two launches on January 9, 2024. The all-new G 580 and the new EQS 450 premium model will be released by the luxury automaker next month. India is the first market outside of the US to construct the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, and the EQS 450 will be locally assembled there.
Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz India debuted the EQS SUV in the 580 model and also brought the more opulent Maybach EQS SUV to the Indian market. The next EQS 450 model will come in a five-seater configuration and be more affordable. By freeing up more space in the second row, the five-seater option should provide passengers with a more pleasant rear seat experience than the EQS 580, which has a seven-seater arrangement.
EQS 450 Mercedes-Benz Battery & Range With a range of 857 kilometers on a single charge, the new EQS 450 will be powered by the same 122 kWh battery pack that powers the EQS 580. With two electric motors on each axle, the vehicle can reach 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and generate 537 horsepower and 858 Nm of peak torque. A 200 kW DC charger can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 31 minutes.
Features of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 450
Most, if not all, of the 580’s features are anticipated to be included in the upcoming Mercedes EQS 450. These consist of a 360-degree camera, five-zone climate control, a five-speaker Burmester sound system, Energising Air Control Plus, soft-close doors, puddle lamps, and lighted running boards. In addition to the rear entertainment screens, the EQS 450 is probably going to feature the 56-inch Hyperscreen configuration, which combines three screens into one unit. The high-end SUV will also have a Level 2 ADAS suite, nine airbags, and other safety features.
Mercedes EQS 450 Anticipated Cost
The next Mercedes EQS 450 SUV is anticipated to cost approximately ₹1.40 crore (ex-showroom), which is in the middle of the price range of the EQE SUV and the EQS 580.
