OpenAI, the company behind the widely popular ChatGPT, has enhanced its experimental WhatsApp service, 1-800-ChatGPT, by introducing image generation capabilities. The company announced the rollout through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), confirming that image generation is now available to all users using the 1-800-ChatGPT service. OpenAI also highlighted that connecting a ChatGPT account to this WhatsApp number would unlock additional image generations, offering a richer, more flexible creative experience for users.

After saving the contact, starting a chat with a simple greeting like “Hi” will activate the service.
